Head of Tax Underwriting (m/f/d) - DACH

Tasks

• Responsibility for the tax underwriting business in the DACH region
• Assessment of tax risks in M&A transactions and preparation of well-founded risk analyses
• Development of customized insurance structures and policies in close cooperation with internal teams and external partners
• Close cooperation with brokers, law firms, investment banks and corporates
• Establishment, management and further development of a small regional team as well as support in international networking
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal guidelines
• Representation of the company at clients, events and industry events

Profile

• Fully qualified lawyer with a focus on tax law or comparable qualification (e.g. tax consultant)
• At least 8-10 years of professional experience in tax, ideally from a leading law firm, consulting firm or in the M&A/insurance context
• In-depth understanding of tax risks in the context of transactions
• Experience in mandate management, negotiation and stakeholder management
• Entrepreneurial thinking, strong communication skills and negotiation confidence in German and English
• Willingness to work independently and remotely in an international environment
