As the founder of VentureLink, there are books that have motivated, inspired and also taught me at key moments. These works have enriched me not only in my work, but also in my approach to life. Here are the four books that have had a particularly big impact on me:
by John Strelecky
This book focuses on the idea of five life goals: "Big 5 for Life" describes the concept of identifying the things you absolutely want to achieve or experience in life. Strelecky shows that a fulfilled life is created when you consciously focus on these "Big 5" and actively pursue them. The idea of aligning my business goals and my personal vision has helped me to steer VentureLink in a direction that not only brings success, but also satisfaction.
by Steven Bartlett
In this book, Bartlett takes his readers on his own entrepreneurial journey and talks openly about challenges, defeats and successes. I found his authentic approach to the importance of facing your weaknesses and learning from them particularly inspiring. These lessons made me realize how important it is to be brave, to try things out and to accept the risk of failure. Bartlett shows that the path of the entrepreneur is not a straightforward one, but one of adaptability and a firm belief in one's own vision.
by John Mark Comer
In the business world, there is often talk of being faster and more efficient. Comer, however, challenges this assumption in this book. He argues that a cluttered schedule and a restless mind lead to exhaustion rather than success in the long run. The insights in this book have helped me to set clear priorities in my role as a founder and to focus on sustainable growth and health. Long-term visions can only be realized with a balance between work and rest.
by Michael Todd
Michael Todd inspires with the idea that faith can be a driving force to achieve great things. "Crazy Faith" encourages you to pursue even seemingly unrealistic dreams and to trust that you can achieve the impossible if you believe in it. For my work at VentureLink, this means never losing sight of the vision, even when hurdles seem insurmountable. Todd teaches that you often have to believe in things before they even become a reality - a key lesson that motivates me to push boundaries.
These books have accompanied me on my start-up journey and influenced my actions. For other founders, entrepreneurs or anyone looking for inspiration - these books offer not only knowledge, but also inspiration to follow your own path with more focus and passion.
